Hey Daniel!

Thursdays are our gaming club's normal Warhammer 40k nights. The club is held at Helsinginkatu 21, at a venue rented from Elämän Sana. There should be players every thursday there, so just showing up then with your miniatures should get you playing WH40k. If you can read finnish, our club's website can be found at http://ordoaboensis.net/, there is some additional information about us.

Sadly I don't play WH40k so I can't challenge you, but I'm pretty sure someone else will pick up the challenge. The finnish WH40k ETC team was collected mainly from Helsinki and no one from Turku attended the tourney (at least I think so, I'm not 100% sure).

If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask the here, or PM me. I'll try to help you best I can!

There aren't really any serious tournament 40k players in Turku these days (definitely not ETC level), but there's a 1850 point tournament coming up (Turku Fanatic october 15th & 16th) and we're testing lists for it, so you'll get an opponent for a somewhat competitive game if you show up on thursday the 13th.

Yes I just saw this morning that you will be holding a tournament right after my stay.
Too bad, for me.
But my wife and children would hardly ever accept, that I am going on holiday with them and on a Warhammer tournament for 2 days. ;-))

So that means, that instead of the usual 1500 or 1750 points you will be playing testplaying your 1850 points tournament lists on thursday 13th. Great !!

I am surely no German ETC player. But I am in to the game for quite a couple of years an I play 3-4 tournaments in Germany per year. I simply can not afford to spend more time.
In Germany the cometition to get a place within the ETC team is very tough and I am not even near to seriously compete with these guys.
They don´t just play more often than me, but much more succsessful.
Nevertheless I would love to attend the ETC once.

As soon as we have packed our luggage, I will have a little dispute with my wife over packing up some minis as well.
I think I will bring a Space Wolves army with me.

Starting time is 18.00, it's recommended to arrive a bit early (17.50 or so). There's time for one game at this points level, so about three hours.

Olisiko mitään patrol-kamppanja/liiga matskua mahdollista harkita vaikka fanaticin jälkeen?

Alotettaisiin pienemmillä listoilla (500 pts ( 1 hq , 1-3 troop, 0-1 fast, heavy, elite)) ja niitä samoja listoja kasvattettaisiin liigan/kamppanjan edetessä lisäämällä yksiköitä/pisteitä.

Löytyisikö kiinnostusta?

Vaatii ehkä vähän enemmän sitoutumista kuin pelkkä perus pelaaminen, mutta voisi olla ihan hauskaa.

Alustavan varovaisesti allekirjoittanut on suunnittelemassa uutta kampanjaa 40K:hon Fanaticin jälkeen. Pistelen päivityksiä tänne jos porukalla on kiinnostusta. Toinen harkinnan alla oleva post-Fanatic projekti olis 2v2 liiga.

Kyllä sitä kampanjaa varmaan voisi taas aloittaa escalation-tyylillä, ei ehkä ihan 500 pisteen listoista kun ne on joillekin armeijoille tosi hankalia tehdä, mutta vaikka 750:stä. Voisi ehkä ajatella escalation liigaa myös, vaikka eka kierros 750, toka 1000, kolmas 1250, neljäs 1500 ja viides 1750, kaikki osallistujat pelaa kertaalleen jokaista muuta vastaan per kierros ja sellaisina viikkoina kun ei ole paikalla ketään jota vastaan pelata liigassa, voi sitten ottaa muita matseja tavalliseen tapaan. Tohon voi kyllä yhdistää vähän jotain tarina-/kampanjaelementtiä myös jos halutaan, vaikka ne expaa keräävät armeijoiden komentajat tuolta mistä oli puhetta.

Juuri näin. Tämä kuulostaa uljaalta. Sanotte vaan koska alotetaan, niin tiedän koska uuden armyn pitää olla kasattu. Oletteko ajatelleet komppeja alkuun?

Nyt torstaina ei avaimen haltia pääse tulemaan paikalle -tuli muuta menoa- mutta eiköhän joku reipas maastotalkoilija tuo omat avaimet mukanaan.

Joo, meikä tulee maastoilemaan ni päästään sisälle kyllä. Toki mieluusti tehdään maastoa, eikä niin pelata...

Oon tulossa paikalle ja otan varmuuden vuoksi 40k-figut mukaan, eli tavallaan on varapelaaja tänäänkin. Enempi olis kyllä tarkotus väsätä maastoa jos vaan jotain järkevää tekemistä löytyy.

As we are stating to pack our luggage for the vacation in finland, I would like to know if the "peliilta" will definitely take place on thursday.
I have not discussed this topic with my wife yet and I am quite nervous about taking all the miniatures with me on a flight.

So before I get to fight with my wife, I would like to know if I will have someone to play with.
You said you will be playtesting 1850 points lists.
I have a Space Wolf List ready painted and waiting to compete. The list is not typical (no death star, no grey hunters spam)of tournament Space Wolf lists, but it faires quite well.

Hi,

unfortunately I was not able to attend.
My wife was stirctly against this idea, and furthermore my relatives changed our holiday plany, so that we left Tuke on thursday.
I did not take my army with me, as I did not get it safely enough packed.
The army took to much space to take it with me as hand baggage and I did not trust my case to definitely hold out the rough treatment on flights.
Last time we flew to finland they bend our baby buggy.

So maybe next time, or if I ever come to Finland without family :-((
