Winter Wipeout - neljä kierrosta hurmeisen täyteistä Blood Bowlia talvisessa Porvoossa! (Check below for English info.)

Winter Wipeout Blood Bowl-turnaus järjestetään nyt toiseen kertaan kesällä 2023 perustetun Porvoo Game Club ry:n (PGC) kerhotiloissa lauantaina 7.12.2024. Viime vuonna debytoinut turnaus sai osallistujilta paljon kiitosta toimivista järjestelyistä ja tunnelmallisista tiloista!

Ilmoittautuminen
Tällä kertaa mukaan pääsee ostamalla pääsylipun PGC:n Holvi-kaupasta. Muistathan täyttää NAF name ja NAF number -kentät ostaessasi tuotteen, sekä kattavat yhteystietosi (nimi, numero & email), jotta turnauksen viestintä sujuu jouhevasti. (NAF-tiedot tarpeen täyttää vain, jos olet NAF-jäsen.)

Viimeinen ilmoittautumispäivä turnaukselle on 4.12.2024. Turnaukseen mahtuu mukaan enintään 20 valmentajaa.

Paikka varmistu, kun osallistuja on ostanut pääsylipun. Paikat täytetään ilmoittautumisjärjestyksessä. Osallistumismaksu 15€ pelaaja, tai 5€ PGC:n jäseniltä. (Jäsenille saatavilla alekoodi.)

Palautukset ja jono
Maksettua osallistumismaksua ei palauteta peruuttamistilanteessa, mutta ilmoittautumisensa voi myydä eteenpäin. Osallistujan vaihto hoituu alkuperäisen ilmoittautujan ilmoituksella. Tämän voi tehdä joko yksityisviestillä allekirjoittaneelle, tai sähköpostitse osoitteeseen [email protected]. Osallistumismaksu palautetaan, jos henkilö on maksanut osallistumisensa jo täyteen turnaukseen (listaa päivitetään mahdollisimman usein).

Turnaus järjestetään vähintään kuudella pelaajalla.

Muuta
Turnaus tulee olemaan myös NAF-rankissa. Voit liittyä The NAF-yhdistyksen jäseneksi täällä.

Turnauksen voittaja, 2. sijoittunut, sekä parhaiten maalattu joukkue palkitaan 20€ lahjakorteilla Poromagiaan.

Sijainti
Turnauspaikkana toimii PGC:n kerhotila osoitteessa Aleksanterinkatu 22, Porvoo. (Kts. kuvallinen ohje verkkosivuilta.) Sijainti on varsin lähellä keskustaa, vain muutama kortteli torilta, minne bussitkin tulevat esim. Helsingistä. Palvelut, kuten kaupat & ravintolat ovat siis hyvin tavoitettavissa. Tästä huolimatta kerhon lähistöllä on myös reilusti ilmaista pysäköintitilaa katujen varsilla. Tiloissa on vessa, sekä pieni keittiö nurkkaus jääkaapilla, kahvinkeittimellä ja mikrolla. PGC tarjoaa osallistujille kahvit maitoineen/kaurajuomineen.

Mukaan turnaukseen:
-Tiimin rosteri
-Tiimi jolla pelaat. GW:n virallisia nappeja ei ole pakko käyttää, mutta napeista pitää pystyä näkemään mitä paikkapelaajia ne esittävät. Figureihin tulee myös merkitä erikoisskillit.
-Nopat, templatet, pallo, merkit vuoroja/rerolleja varten, pelilauta (turnaus ei pysty tarjoamaan näitä kaikille).

Winter Wipeout - Four rounds of Blood Bowl in picturesque Porvoo!

The second annual Winter Wipeout is held at the 2023 established Porvoo Game Club (PGC) club house on Saturday 7.12.2024. The last year’s debut event received praise for its atmosphere!

Registration
Register for the event by paying the event entry fee in the PGC Holvi store. Please fill the NAF nick and number fields when registering, if you’re a NAF member. Also, please enter your full contact details (name, phone number and email.) for smooth

Registration closes on 4.12.2024. Max. capacity is 20 players.

A registration is final once the entry fee has been paid. Registrations are taken on a first come first served basis. Entry fee is 15€, or 5€ for PGC members. (PGC members can ask for a discount code from the organizer.)

Refunds & Waitlist
Entry fee is non-refundable but you can pass/sell your spot to someone else. Switching the registrant can be done by the original registrant. He/she should send an email to [email protected]. Entry fee may be refunded if a participant pays their entry but the event is already full. (The list is maintained as often as possible though.)

The event will be held if a minimum of 6 players participate. (But the prices will be reviewed in that case though.)

The tournament will be NAF ranked. You can find more info on The NAF and join the association here.

The tournament champion, runner up, and the best painted team will be awarded with 20€ gift cards to Poromagia.

Location
The venue is PGC club house, located close to the Porvoo town center. The address is Aleksanterinkatu 22, Porvoo. Check the website for an image guide. The space is only a few blocks away from the market square, where the buses from Helsinki and elsewhere arrive. There are plenty of shops & restaurants closeby, and there’s also a Christmas market at the market square on the same weekend. Despite the location there’s plenty of free street parking available close to the club. The club has a toilet, small kitchen with basic equipment, including a fridge, coffee maker and a microwave oven. There’s free coffee with milk & oat drink available for the participants.

What to bring with you to the event:
- Team roster sheet (printed, with all necessary info included)
- Models for your team. They don’t have to be official GW miniatures but different positions should be clearly defined. Special skills should be marked on the models.
- Dice, templates, ball, tokens for turn, re-rolls & score, and a board. (The hosts can’t supply enough boards for everyone.)

Säännöt / Rules (Eurobowl 2025 beta rules):

Winter Wipeout is run using Blood Bowl Second Season (2020) Exhibition play rules. The English version will be used to settle any discrepancies in the rules or rules pack between versions in different languages. The tournament is an individual competition. Swiss System is used for pairing. Tournament is NAF approved. This is a resurrection tournament, no SPP are gained, and injuries, casualties or deaths do not carry on from one game to the next.

All teams are to be registered to the tournament site on Tourplay and all game results are to be logged there by the players themselves. Some mobile device or computer will be needed to access the tournament system. Please ensure that your NAF user number and username are correctly input into your user details at Tourplay as NAF reporting will be done through the site automatically.

Rosters
All teams are to be registered to the tournament site on Tourplay by Wednesday 4.12.2024.

Team Building
The latest Eurobowl 2025 beta or final rules released before the tournament will be used.

Starting Gold and Star Player Points (SPP)
Tier 1: 1100k & 36 SPP
Tier 2: 1110k & 42 SPP
Tier 3: 1120k & 50 SPP
Tier 4: 1130k & 56 SPP
Tier 5: 1140k & 64 SPP
Tier 6: 1150k & 70 SPP

You can spend spp according to the rulebook, but no random skills or characteristic improvements are allowed.
You are only allowed to take two extra skills on the same player.
You are only allowed to “stack” for 1 player for tier 1-2, 2 players for tier 3-4 and 3 players for tier 5-6.
Unspent gold and star player points are lost.

You can’t choose more than 4 from the same skill while spending star player points. If your team already has at least 4 from the same skill after buying your players (including star players) but before spending your skill points you CAN’T have more of that skill.

i.e.: A dark elf coach bought 4 blitzers and 2 witch elfs, thus they can only give out two more dodge before reaching the limit of 4 dodges total. Since they already have at least 4 blocks on the roster they cannot give out any more.

You are not allowed to have bribes if your team also has gained either sneaky git or dirty player skill on the roster.

Optional packs (may choose one):
A: “Quantity over quality”: You can exchange 2 spp for 10k gold up to 5 times. (Gaining you a maximum of 50k gold for 10 spp.)

B: “Training camp”: Get extra 6 spp but you lose 30k gold. If you choose this pack, you are not allowed to “stack”.

C: “Center of attention”: Your team can hire star players but lose 8 spp for star players costing up to 120k, 14 spp for star players costing 121-260k, 20 spp for star players costing more than 260k.

The following star players are banned and cannot be hired by any team: Morg, Griff, Skitter, Hakflem, Bomber, Cindy, Zzharg, Estelle, Dribl & Drull, Deeproot, Kreek, Varag.

Tier1: Lizardmen, Shambling Undead, Dark Elves, Skaven, Amazons, Wood Elves.
Tier2: Orc, Norse, Underworld Denizens, Vampire, Human, Dwarves.
Tier3: High Elves, Tomb Kings, Slann, Chaos Dwarves, Necromantic Horror.
Tier4: Elven Union, Khorne, Old World Alliance, Imperial Nobility.
Tier5: Black Orcs, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegades, Nurgle.
Tier6: Goblins, Ogres, Halflings, Snotlings, Gnomes

Win = 3 points

Timekeeping
- With a tight tournament schedule a chess clock or similar for timekeeping must be used. (Players must bring their own chess clock or use a chess clock application on their mobile device.)
- After you’ve completed the pregame introductions of your teams etc. divide the remaining hours and minutes (rounding down) by 2 and assign half of the game time to each player.
- Chess clocks can only be paused by a referee.
- Should a Coach’s time run out on the chess clock, during their turn, that Coach can only stand-up Players and turn stunned Players to the prone position.
- If a Coach suspects that their opponent is wasting time, they are to call a referee immediately.
- If a Coach is late from the game, the delay time is deducted from their half of the game time. (Opponent divides the game time and starts the chess clock.)

Games that run out of time
At the end of the time allotted to each round, no more dice will be rolled. Coaches are allowed but not required to agree to what would have probably been the most likely result. If they do not, the result on the pitch at the end of the time will be final.

Pre-match talks
Coaches are required to talk to their opponent before the start of the match explaining any play conventions they are using during the game, especially on topics like:
- How you roll dice, when a dice is cocked and how you will reroll it;
- What constitutes an acceptable takeback of an action;
- What kind of tokens they will be using and what for (prone big guys, etc).
- Your team's game pieces with their positions, skills and markings.

EB25-säännöistä julkaistiin juuri lopullinen versio, mutta sen verran myöhään, että Winter Wipeout pelataan jo aiemmin ilmoitetulla marraskuun beta-säännöillä.

New, final version of the EB25 rules was published recently but so close to the Winter Wipeout that WW will be played with the November beta rules.
