Yksi hyvä puoli noissa Ogreissa tulee olemaan - kukaan ei pääse itkemään kun tekee kunnon min/max-listan että armeija ei olisi "fluffin" mukainen, kun mitään aikaisempaa fluffia ei ole olemassa. Erinomainen syy aloittaa ogre-armeijan kerääminen.

En nyt ole varma, etä onko tämä joku ihan iciwanha-juttu, mutta sanonphan kuitenkin ,että GW:n myyjä taisi tuossa kesällä minulle tokaista, että GW kehittelisi Wood Elffeistä lähes kokonaan muovisen armeijan. Eli näitä metalliblistereitä ei olisi paljoa herumassa. Jos asia pitää paikkansa niin ilmeisesti aika halpa armeija kerättäväksi tulossa. Kukaan muu kuullut vastaavanlaista juttua ?

Kyllähän se näyttää siltä , että GW olisi siirtymässä muovi armeijoihin, mutta halpa armeijasta ei takuulla tule. Tai sitten maailman kirjat on sekaisin

Tuskinpa se muovisuus älyttömästi halventaa hintaa siltikään. Lisäksi muoveissa on se ongelma, että niistä on vaikeampaa poistaa maalit. Tosin ei niitä niin helposti tule ostettua käytettynäkään, kun saa melko halvalla uusia kaupasta.

It is very, very good, with very nice art and a good quantity of fluff (Did not manage to read through it).

What I can remember is that the Lords cost quite much, but they are effective for their cost, and I sow 3 magical items that are Fire-Printed in my mind...

1)The mace that does StoneThrower hits. It is very good for it's cost!
2)Another weapon that is the bane of low initiative creatures (Poor my little zombies!), and it is a must have against Undeads, Steamtanks and Dwarfs!
3)An archane that acts like Drain Magic but makes fun of the Miscast Table


Another thing I sow is that good part of the magical weapons have the same rules for Great Weapons PLUS some nasty enchantment!!!

Other things I sow:
* Gorgers ARE nasty
* Yetees ARE nasty until they are wounded by fire
* Gastromancy IS nasty but also is it's miscast table
* Greasus is VERY powerful in the same way Settra is: It powers up the whole army other than being a combat monster (His mace really deals a LOT of damage)
* Butchers are like low level vampires in HTH!

I've had a quick flick through last night, and I have to say: I was expecting it to be good, and I'm not disappointed. The army list nice and all but I wasn't really paying attention, I was just reading the background, and very good it is too - they've weighted the humour about right, and managed to give the ogres a large amout of surprisingly believable culture and history. Even the food magic comes across as plausible and not at all cheesy - very shamanistic - which was my major worry. Not to mention that the book in its own right is really well illustrated and laid out, with obscene numbers of colour pictures - very pretty.

My favourite bits, though, are all the Cathay and Ind snippets. The Celestial Dragon Monk temple, for a start - Shaolin is on the map... Plus there are rules for Cathayan longswords, one of the magic items is an effigy of one of the "thousand gods" of Ind and scares Chaos models (beastmen can forget about charging anyone carrying it), etc. Luvverly.

A lord level Butcher (High Butcher) may only be taken if you already have a Tyrant in your army.

The Hunter will be M7, but will not have access to any weapon upgrades.

Tyrants can have a possible weapon and item combo that will give them a GW, a 5+ ward save, M7 and US6 on the charge (this bit of info tells us a bit about the magic items available).

Leadbelchers, when firing, will still have to roll to hit after the number of shots have been calculated on the Artillery dice.

Slave giants are 175pts, but won't be Stubborn.

Ogre characters won't take up any more than 1 character slot, but Butchers can't be your army general.

Täällä on paremmat kuvat (melkein?) jokaisesta ogre kindoms unitista. Kaikki noi on jo nähty mutta kuvat on parempia. En oo varma pistikö joku jo tän. Hienoimmmat IMO trapperit ja maneaterit.

Ja nuo irogutsit on myös hienoja. Hyvin onnistunut "tavallisen" näköinen unitti. Isot nuijat vaan jotenkin kuuluu ogrejen käteen.

et ole...minä ainakin olen inneoissani uudesta rodusta....
voisin todellakin innostua pelaamaan ja keräämään ogre kindomssia, mutta aion ottaa vähän selvää ensiksi....
