Itse en pidä edes kovin mahdottomana sitä että yhdestä kitistä saisi monta eri mahdollisuutta koneisiin nähden, sillä onhan GW itsekin myöntänyt sen tosiasian että isot aseet ja paljon roinaa ja ei voi enää epäonnistua örkkikoneen tekemisessä

Jos valmistaja vihjaa, ettei nykyisiä kannata ostaa uusiin tulevien muutoksien vuoksi, niin olen automaattisesti varuillani.
Roskikseenheittäminen nyt on jokaisen oma asia. Sääli vaan jos kaikki nykyiset asekonffit eivät toteudu uudessa kirjassa. Voihan sitä tietysti napsaista vanhan pyssyn pois ja liimata uuden tilalle samalla hihkuen kuinka paljon örkkimäisempi siitä tulikaan.

Tuskin poistuvat, kun Örkit ovat kuitenkin lähikseen suunnattuja, niin olisi typerää jos peruspoika ei olisi aseistettu sitä silmällä pitäen. Burna pojista en sano mitään, mutta kun burna pysyy varmaan erikoisaseena, niin eipä se niiden hankkiminen haittaa, kun jos se Burnapoika-yksikkö lentää listasta, niin sinulla on vain enemmän burnia poikayksiköihin heitettäväksi.

No kyllä Warbossin ostaa voi, jos tykkää nykyisistä metallisista, sillä eihän siitä tule kuin muovinen versio. Tietysti se voi saada uusia optioita, tai nykyisiä optioita kavennetaan, mutta kun GW on nykyään ottanut menetelmäksi antaa figuille optiot niihin aseisiin mistä on figu, niin pitämällä Warbossilla ne perusaseet, niin riskin pitäisi olla suht pieni.

In regards to Clark's last post. I think with the number of rumors flying around and the general simplifying of the ruleset (this is not necessarily a bad thing, as it can speed up games), we can make some educated guesses as to what might happen. I've got no sources (well, one, for only one rumor), but looking at trends we can expect
1) Waaagh! May not allow double initiative anymore. Likely would give Furious Charge (very orky).
2) Choppas - Likely would give "-1" on opponent armor saves (rumored source). This would allow for hallowed Terminator Armor to still be a 3+ save. Great against everyone else.
3) Grots mixed in with regular troops? Likely not. You have to deal with mixed toughness and potentially mixed armor. Just a mess. Leave them as troops choices. They could be vulnerable to blasts......weedy grots!
4) Mobbing up - while a cool idea, it makes tracking points for units a train wreck AND leads to mixed armor issues. Again, while very cool, don't be surprised if it goes away. They might replace it with something else that allows the boys to take a size check or reroll leadership checks if they are falling back (maybe something like an Old Grumbler's rule like Dwarves have for Long Beards....allowing rerolled leadership checks if passing within 6" of the Longbeards).
5) Likely Boyz will be a core troops choice. You can then kit up the mob with shootas (x points) or choppas and sluggas (x points). They might come stock with grenades (stick bombas). Upgrades with big shootas or rokkit launchas. Heck, maybe the big shootas get rending.....it would help with vehicle armor....(purely speculation).
6) Rending Jawed Squigs of Death......uh, no (although that could be fun!)
7) Deep Striking Mega Armored Orks....Hey, why not! (OK, not likely, but who knows)
Who knows what else (well, a couple of people do), but take a look at the special rulesets in the Rule Book. Try to see which rules fit orks well (feel no pain, furious charge, vulnerable to blasts (grots?), etc) and then try to work them in.

No mixed units, deathkoptas are in, and our HQ choices are pretty huge, like 5-6 or so. I'll let you ponder that smilingOrk.gif
And I did mistype before - there is one unit that didn't make it over to the new book.
Apocalypse kirjassa näkyy tämmöistä:
The orc baneblade is flipping awesome! It is a fast (yes fast) vehicle, open topped with one point worse front armor, but it carries 30 orcs! The thing is a scratch builder/convertor's dream, and i imagine we will see some really cool conversions with this one. It lacks some guns the normal bainblade has, but still packs a wallop.
The stompa in the new WHite Dwarf is the real stompa and seeing more pics, i like it now. the yellow paint job in the dwarf just sort of sucks. The stompa will be released too, along with codex orks, it is not a pipe dream. Also, the thing is so cool! it has just plain crazy guns that not only wreck shop, but are oh so orky. The "psycho dakka blasta" is a gun the fires once per game, but it is Str 7 Ap3. It is a giant gattling shoota that is heavy 2d6. you fire it at a squad, then pick the next nearest squad and keep hopping squad to squad until you roll doubles! the thing put out 43 shots in a game we played! after that it is out of ammo, but the stompa has a ton of other guns too, all that kick ass.
There are two versions of it, the second being the big mek version (the stomp with no horns in the white dwarf) that is the same basic vehicle but has a lifta dropps instead! yes! if you remember that gun from 2nd ed, it is a blast. you use it to pick up enemy tanks and then smash their own units with it, just a very fun unit.
the gargantuan squigoth is in, crazy amount of wounds and toughness and carries a ton of big guns and 20 orcs, treated as open topped for assault and embarking.
*there are pictures of the new Orc bikes in the book too, and they look awesome! Like little choppers, and every third or so bike has a unique body. it looks like you can build lots of different bikes with modular parts, so each one is fairly unique. The Ork warboss on bike is mean looking, with a sleeker bike and a big power claw. Compared ot the old bikes, they are about 100 times an improvement. The new trukk is just fantastic too, it looks like a big half trak but orkified, and a gorgeous model. the buggies are vastly improved too. i would say that they are some of the coolest looking models i have seen in a while, and are very Orky.

I asked a few of the Games Workshop ladz previewing the Apocalypse stuff some questions. Here they are with the answers:
1. What's up with the Orks in Apocalypse? Any Stompaz?
A: They had so much trouble with the plastic baneblade that they had to put the Stompa on hold. They do plan on revisiting it in the future though. The orks will get looted Baneblades though, and Stompas can be used they will just have to be scratch built.
2. Will Kult of Speed be viable in the new codex?
A: All troops can be put into trucks as dedicated transports. You can then round it off with bikes, vehichles and DETHKOPTAZ from fast attack and heavy. However if you are a KOS player now you will probably have to invest in some more troops, since the overall feel of the codex and army list is going back towards horde/footslogging troops.
3. Most ork players have a really hard time with skimmers. Will there be anything to help with that?
A: One word: Lootas. We will be pleased with the new Lootas.
4. Our warboss is kinda weak compared to other characters. Will he be buffed up?
A: Absolutely. The new Warboss is a LOT tougher.
That's all I could get out of him!

En muuten ihan hirveesti tykkää tuosta uudesta mekistä. En jotenkin tykkää sen naamasta, ilme on kyllä ihan hyvä, mutta naama on jotenkin kovin kulmikas.
Noista sääntöhuhuiluista on vähän pahempi sanoa mitään. Olen kyllä melkeinpä 100% varma että warboss saa T5. Deeppaavat mega armour örkit olis kyllä kanssa kivoja. Olen pitkään halunnut tehdä kasan mega armori nobeja, mutta olen aina jättänyt sen väliin kun olen tajunnut kuinka turhia (ja kalliita) ne olisi pelikentällä. Deeppaamalla ne saattaisivat ehkä joskus saada jotain aikaankin.

From the get go Ive been keeping an eye on our misunderstood green skinned friends, and if the rumour is true that they are not being bumped up to I3 then that is truely unfortunate. Since even with the I4 and S4 because of furious charge it still makes them inferior to their current "meh" combat skills, the drop in points doesnt even counter balance it, it just requires you to buy more models (a likely and understandable intent on GWs side).
Dropping choppas is fine in my books because the rule was silly, all they needed to do to balance it off is drop the orks by 2pts, give them furious charge and bump them to I3 and they fight MEQs (almost) exactly as they did before (but not terminators obviously).
The other early rumour was that a Waaagh! banner gives the army a scout move.
I will hassle my mate for info when I see him and will post as soon as I know anything new.
I have mixed feelings so far towards the new codex. I've played Orks since 1999 and only ever had slight grievances against the current codex but on the whole it was balanced and fun. My only fear is that it turns out like the new Chaos Codex: really powerful but so bland and lacking in any sort of character that it's painful. All I want is for it to be brought in line with the newer books and maintains it's character. Too much too ask? We shall see...
He did learn something else of interest from the person he spoke to:
There's going to be a rules revision for 40K come next year, when asked why, he told my friend that there's some 'glitches' in the current rules set that need addressing. He said that in the Chaos, Ork and subsequent Codices there will be certain things, that, under the current rules seem odd or pointless but come the revision they will 'make sense'. Make of that what you will.
have heard a rumor ( totaly unconfermed ) that orks may be getting FNP as part of thier package to help offset the low Iniative. also it would fit with the Fluff of orks beign a very hardy and tough race.

Nyt rupeaa jo oikeasti pelottamaan että kuinka pahasti gw meinaa tuonkin kämmiä. Se I boosti olisi melkeinpä pakollinen. Pojat ottavat turpaan matkalla lähikseen ja sitten vielä siellä lähiksessäkin. Tuo FNP juttu lohduttaisi edes vähän, mutta en kyllä usko että se on totta.

Voidaan siis olettaa ettei 'Uge choppaakaan enää nähdä. Eikös sen sääntömuutoksista ollut kovastikkin puhetta silloin kun uusi kirja oli vielä suunnitteluasteella?
Jos chopan poistamista perustellaan sääntöjen yksinkertaistamisella, niin tilalle voidaan odottaa jotain +1S asetta tai jotain. Uusia boyzifiguja ei kuitenkaan ihan alkuun tule, ja eikös pari sivua takaperin ikäänkuin sovittu että vanhojen nappuloiden wysiwyg pätee uusillakin säännöillä.
