The battle started with the faceless skulls moving their forces forward. The cultists went ahead in case the enemy would open fire. Platon and his raptors flew over the battlefield loading their bolt rifles and readying their combat blades. This would get ugly real fast. Platon set the timer of a melta bomb in 2 minutes.

Captain Gabriel and his death company readied themselves. The two tactical squads moved ahead to secure the area. Their movement was interrupted by a winged figure in the air. Platon! The first tactical squad tried to open fire at the enemy, but were interrupted when a melta bomb fell on them taking all but one of them out. The battle had started.

The cultists opened fire on the last space marine killing him. They lost three of their men when the other tactical squad opened fire. The cultists assaulted the space marines taking two more casualties and killing one marine. The raptors closed in on their prey, opening fire. The rest of the squad died in no time.

The death company saw their brothers getting slaughtered and opened fire at the enemy. The remaining cultists died and the raptors lost their aspiring champion, but they didn't flee. Instead they charged in, losing everyone else except for one man, but Gabriel cut him down.

Platon overlooked the battlefield. "Screw this" he thought as he fled the scene. But he would be back...

First objective was achieved by the Blood Angels. Now it's down to holding the area.
