in this thread the committee will announce the players selected to form the teams for the 2020 WM/H World Team Championships. Later we will announce also the placement of players in the teams. This year we will have three teams so we have 15 open spots.

Hello and apologies for over stretched patch of silence on our behalf!

Whatever the last few weeks have been we are still aiming to participate WTC2020. Now, all of our applicants, you need to tell us if you are still able to join WTC adventure this year. We do realize Covid19 has been tough already especially economically for some players, so please, do update on YOUR APPLICATION if you still are able to join and willing to join this years WTC adventure.

and sadly WTC is cancelled for 2020

Hello everyone,

It is with a heavy heart that the committee makes the very hard but responsible decision to cancel WTC 2020. This isn't decision which we would like to make, but unfortunately there are a lot of variables, which we as Committee can't predict and we would like not to risk anything more.

Here are some reasons why we've made this choice:

•we don't want to risk any one's health,
•a lot of countries are speculating that their borders can be closed up to October (for example Australia, Czech Republic, Great Britain),
•WTC is an indoor event so there might be some additional restrictions for such events in Poland (for example right now in Polish markets can have only one person for each 15 square meters and we can manage only 1500 square meter on one level),
•to organize event we will need at least 3 countries to have open borders (Poland, Germany and Belgium) to pick up all necessary equipment,
•a lot of players will need to choose right now if they can come,
it will be much harder for players to find any alternate players.

It's really sad because we were hoping to get everyone here to see each other and play very interesting games. We're terrible sorry that we've made this decision so late, but nobody has expected how huge impact this situation will have on our lives. Also we wanted to organize this event because we knew that some players have already made special arrangements to be at WTC 2020. We also wanted to be sure that we will deliver enough information about our plans for the future.

So what's next?

We want to postpone Polish WTC and organize it in 2021. Of course it will be organized late September/early October and we're sure that we will secure much better date this time. Right now we are highly considering 24-26.09.2021. We would like hotel to keep prepayment because this way we can safely secure this date and it won’t bring them any more problems. (Right now hotels are suffering because a lot of tourists are forced to cancel their trips and we don't want this hotel to lose more money.) Also during last two months Polish zloties has lost around 8-10% of its value so it would be much more expensive for players who would like to receive their money back.

All prepayments which were made, we would like to use as prepayments for WTC 2021. We know that it's really hard time for everyone and we know that some of you may prefer to get a refund, but because of the reasons stated above, we can't do it (keeping prepayment in hotel and because of changed exchange rate). Still each captain who has made a prepayment will have one of these choices to choose from:

•hold funds and use them as prepayment for WTC 2021 (no additional costs for it);
•exchange prepayment for vouchers on Qualigeeks (no additional costs for it and it's equal to actual payments value); teams who has paid by Paypal will receive voucher for 208 euro;
•refund of about 100 EUR minus transfer costs by PayPal or bank transfer
